Step 2 Water

Last month was breath. Hopefully everyone is taking a few minutes every day to do some deep, relaxing breathing or energizing breathing if that is the case.

 Water is the basis for all life and that includes your body. Your body is 60 %- 70% water; the muscles that move your body are 75%
water; your blood that transports nutrients is 82% water; your lungs that provide your oxygen are 90% water; your brain – the control center of your body – is
76% water; even your bones are 25% water!
Our health is truly dependent on the quality and quantity of water we drink.

So this month’s challenge is to drink 2 more ounces of water a day for one month. If you drink 8 ounces of water a day then
on February 2nd,  drink 10 ounces, on the third 12 ounces. By increasing your water intake by 2 ounces a day for one month, even if you start at no water consumed, you will drink 60 ounces of water a day by the end of the month!

Get started right away. It doesn’t even take 10 minutes, so no excuses. Figure out how you like your water: in a cup, sports bottle, straw top. Try playing
with flavor by putting lemon, mint, or cucumber. Experiment if you have to make it more palatable. Just get started.
